Generate Quotations with Big Product Images
Generate quotations with big product images so customers see exactly what they are buying. Set the quotation PDF image size to 300 × 300 in Print Settings once, tick the image column and attach high-resolution product images — every quote you generate then prints a large product image beside each item's description. Choose from four quotation image sizes, from a compact default to big 300 × 300 photos, and create a professional quotation format with images in PDF, free.

Which image size should I pick?
Quotation PDF image size offers four options. Bigger images show more detail; smaller ones keep long quotations compact.
| Image size | Best for |
|---|---|
| Default | The standard compact image — keeps quotations short. |
| 100 × 100 | Long quotations with many line items, where a small thumbnail is enough. |
| 200 × 200 | A balance of product detail and page length. |
| 300 × 300 | The biggest image — showcases each product; ideal for catalogue-style and high-value quotes. |
Print the quotation and see the big image
Your settings are saved, so all that is left is to print — the result looks like the sample at the top of this page.
- 6
Print the quotation
Back on the quotation, click Print PDF — or Print Letter Head to print on your letterhead. Each product now prints with a big image beside its description.
For a high-quality quotation, attach a high-resolution image. A small photo stretched to 300 × 300 looks blurry; a large, sharp photo prints crisp and professional.
Tips for big, sharp product images
- Attach high-resolution product images — at least 600 × 600 px for a sharp 300 × 300 print.
- Use square photos on a plain white background so every product lines up neatly in the image column.
- Quoting many items? Try 200 × 200 to keep the quotation shorter while images stay clear.
- The Image column can also be ticked for sales orders, proforma invoices and sales invoices in the same grid.
- Pick a PDF colour and row style in the same dialog to match your brand.
Frequently asked questions
What image sizes are available for quotations?
Four sizes are available in Print Settings: Default, 100 × 100, 200 × 200 and 300 × 300. Choose 300 × 300 for the biggest product images.
Why does my product image look blurry on the quotation?
The original image is too small. A low-resolution photo is stretched to fill a big image box, so attach a high-resolution image — at least 600 × 600 pixels for 300 × 300 prints.
Do I need to change the image size for every quotation?
No. Print Settings is saved once and applies to every quotation you print afterwards, until you change it again.
Is there a difference between the two ways to open Print Settings?
No. The Print Settings button inside a quotation and Settings → Print Settings open the same dialog with the same options.
Can sales orders, proforma invoices and invoices show product images too?
Yes. The Module Print Options grid has an Image checkbox for sales orders, proforma invoices and sales invoices as well as quotations.
Where do the product images on a quotation come from?
From the product record. Add an image when you create a product — in Product Master, or with Quick Add or Full Product while making a quotation.
Is printing quotations with big images free?
Yes. Big product images, the image size setting and PDF printing are all part of Catalystk's free plan.
